  About KLU

A survey of recent issues and decisions sponsored by the Kentucky Bar Association for the lawyers of Kentucky.

The Supreme Court of Kentucky established the Kentucky Law Update program as an integral element of the minimum continuing legal education system developed for Kentucky lawyers in 1984. The KBA presents the program one time in each Supreme Court District during the fall of each year. The program offers every Kentucky Bar Association member the opportunity to meet the annual CLE requirement, including ethics, close to home and with no registration fee.

The Officers and Staff of the Kentucky Bar Association proudly invite you to attend Kentucky Law Update. This program is designed as a service for all KBA members, regardless of level of experience. Kentucky Law Update is a survey of current legal issues, ethical issues, legislative and rule changes, court decisions and other legal topics of general interest which are faced by Kentucky practitioners.

As such, this program serves both the general practitioner as well as the practitioner whose practice is limited to a particular field of law. Kentucky Law Update is neither designed nor intended to be a detailed analysis of a particular topic, but rather is designed to alert the lawyers of Kentucky to changes in the law and rules of practice which impact the daily practice of law. It also serves as a great opportunity to network with professional colleagues from bench and bar.
