BUY A SIGNED COPY OF KENTUCKY LAWYERS SPEAK: ORAL HISTORY FROM THOSE WHO LIVED IT THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, AT THE KENTUCKY BOOK FAIR IN FRANKFORT
Visit the 28th annual Kentucky Book Fair in Frankfort this Saturday, November 7, at the Frankfort Convention Center for your opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Kentucky Lawyers Speak: Oral History From Those Who Lived It.

Gerald R. Toner, executive editor, and University of Louisville Law School Professor Leslie W. Abramson, editor, will be on-hand to sign this attractive publication produced by the Kentucky Bar Association through a generous grant from the Kentucky Bar Foundation.
Kentucky Lawyers Speak presents a unique collection of one-on-one conversations with senior members of the Bar – all born between 1903 and 1933 – as they were interviewed over a 15-year period in a project directed by Toner, chairman of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Oral History Project. Kentucky Lawyers Speak celebrates the life stories and legacies of some of the Commonwealth’s most colorful lawyers, making it an ideal gift for students of history and the law. For a full listing of the lawyers included in the publication and their counties, click here.
Hours for the Kentucky Book Fair are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free. The Frankfort Convention Center is located in downtown Frankfort at 405 Mero Street near the Capital Plaza Hotel. For more information about the event, click here.

WELCOME NEWLY SWORN-IN MEMBERS OF THE KENTUCKY BAR ASSOCIATION!
The KBA congratulates the 296 new attorneys who took their Constitutional Oath of Office during formal swearing-in ceremonies held Friday, October 23, in the Supreme Court Chambers of the state Capitol building in Frankfort.
By policy of the Supreme Court of Kentucky, new members must appear before the Court in a formal admissions ceremony. KBA President Charles E. "Buzz" English, Jr., introduced new applicants in the Courtroom, where they received their oath in nine separate ceremonies before accepting their Certificate of Admission. A reception followed the initial ceremony and continued throughout the day at the Kentucky Bar Center.
We commend all new members of the KBA for their hard work and dedication in pursuing this important life goal and look forward to working with you as you embark on your new careers.
