Registration for the 2022 Kentucky Law Update program is now available.
|
The 2022 KLU Program will include both a single-day, live, in-person component as well as an on demand component.
|
|

- The LIVE component is accredited for 7.0 CLE credits, including 2.0 ethics credits and will include the Updates and Ethics portion of the program; and
- The ON DEMAND component is accredited for 7.25 CLE credits, including 2.0 ethics credits, and will include the Breakout Sessions portion of the program.
The ON DEMAND component will be available September 1 – December 31, 2022.
SEPARATE REGISTRATION is required for the LIVE and ON DEMAND components. You can attend either or both.

Attorneys required to eFile torts starting Nov. 1 |
Attorneys must eFile personal injury and other tort actions in Kentucky courts as of Nov. 1. The Supreme Court of Kentucky issued Administrative Order 2022-45 on Sept. 19 to make eFiling mandatory for these cases.
In 2023, the mandatory eFiling rollout will continue with new case types every couple of months.

and Lawyer, Donated Legal Services and Bruce K. Davis Bar Service Awards. Nominations
must be received by December 30, 2022. If you are aware of a Kentucky judge or lawyer

Kentucky IOLTA Fund Awards $630,000 in Grants
|
The Kentucky IOLTA Fund is proud to announce that it awarded grants totaling $630,000 in September 2022. Kentucky’s four regional, civil legal aid organizations received a total of $600,000 and Kentucky’s three law schools received $10,000 each to fund student public service fellowships. The IOLTA Board of Trustees and staff thank the members of the Kentucky Bar Association for their continued support of the IOLTA program and the important role that it plays in providing legal aid and access to justice to Kentuckians.

Applications Available for KBF Diversity Fund Grant |
The Kentucky Bar Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of grants from a Diversity Fund and encourages all interested nonprofit organizations working on efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession to apply. Applications are due October 17, 2022. The Fund’s first priority is to ensure the continuation of the Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity (KLEO) program. The Fund, however, will also support other efforts to promote the inclusion in the profession of individuals from diverse and other underrepresented populations.
