University of Louisville Law Alumni Awards Luncheon
The University of Louisville School of Law Alumni Awards luncheon is Friday, October 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Galt House Hotel. Tickets are $60 each and $40 for public service attorneys and Louisville Law graduates from 2016 and later.

KBF Logo KBF Diversity Fund Grant
The Board of Directors of the Kentucky Bar Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of grants from a Diversity Fund and encourages all interested nonprofit organizations working on efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession to apply. Grant applications are due October 18, 2019. The Fund’s first priority is to ensure the continuation of the Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity (KLEO) program. The Fund, however, will also support other efforts to promote the inclusion in the profession of individuals from diverse and other underrepresented populations. Kentucky Lawyer Assistance Program (KYLAP) is excited to partner with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to present "Lawyer Well-being and Inclusion: It's Everybody's Bar," during the 2019 Kentucky Law Update. KYLAP Director, Yvette Hourigan, and DEI Committee Co-Chairs David Sloan and Allison Connelly will present along with a panel of representatives discussing diversity, equity, and inclusion (and why equity is such an important part of that equation), the impact of implicit bias (even when it's subconscious), and how to level the playing field.
