How do I create a new topic or post to a forum?

Create a New Topic

Once you have accessed your group's forum, you may post a topic by selecting New Topic. By default, the latest post will be moved automatically to the top of the list within a forum.

Post a Reply

Once you have a forum open, select the topic you wish to comment on, enter your reply, and select Submit Quick Reply. Replies within a forum topic are sorted chronologically so the most recent reply always appears at the bottom.

How do I subscribe to a forum?

Within forums, you have two levels of subscription options:

A. Forum Level: be notified when new topics are added to the forum
B. Topic Level: be notified when new comments are made to a specific topic.

You will need to subscribe to each level separately. Here are the steps to do this.

1. Navigate to your group's Forums page.

2. Click on the name of a Forum. This will pull up a list of all of the topics created within this forum.

3. To subscribe to the Forum Level, select the Forum Actions button and select Subscribe to Instant Updates. You will be notified when new topics are added to the forum.

4. To subscribe to the Topic Level, click on the name of a topic. Select the Thread Actions button and select Subscribe to Instant Updates. You will be notified when new comments are added to this topic. Repeat for all topics as desired.

Subscribe to the Forum Digest

In step 3, you also have the option to subscribe to the Forum Digest. This is a newsletter that will be sent out periodically to those who subscribe to the Forum Digest. The digest only includes information about new topics created within the forum.

Subscription Settings

Since subscribing can result in you receiving several emails, subscription is completely voluntary and you must manually subscribe according to your own preferences.
