Volunteer Speaker Service

The KBA Health Care Law Section is interested in creating a speaker service to provide a mechanism for eligible organizations to obtain speakers knowledgeable in health law subjects to provide presentations at meetings, classes, and related events in order to be of better service to the Commonwealth. The service will be organized by Supreme Court District and consist of panels of volunteer speakers in each District, available topics, and brief speaker biographical summaries. A list of potential health law topics will be developed including general health law, health care reform, health benefits, advance directives, HIPAA and privacy, health care business operations, human subject research and other such topics as speakers may suggest. The service will be available to civic clubs, schools and educational organizations, churches, not-for-profit organizations, and corporate training programs. Individuals will not be eligible to use the service.

To facilitate this project, the Section is soliciting volunteer speakers from the Section membership to represent each Supreme Court District in Kentucky. A list of requirements for all volunteer speakers is available online . Volunteer speakers will be contacted directly for scheduling purposes by eligible organizations via email or telephone from a list posted on this webpage.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to this project, please complete and submit the online form below OR download and complete a registration form and return to Lori Alvey at All volunteer registrants will receive additional details regarding this project after the initial list of volunteers and potential health law topics have been developed.

If you have questions regarding this project, please contact KBA Health Care Law Section Chair Harry Dadds at or (502) 316-3382.
